I am a British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, an EMDR Association Europe accredited practitioner, a graduate member of the British Psychological Society and a Senior Associate Member of the Royal Society of Medicine. I have been in private practice since 2010 and I founded Northwest Psychotherapies Limited in December 2012. I hold a first class honours degree in Counselling and Psychology (a British Psychological Society Accredited Pathway) from the University of Bolton, a post-graduate diploma in cognitive behavioural therapy and I was trained in EMDR by Dr. Derek Farrell, former president of the EMDR Association.
In addition, I am currently involved in a Masters of Science degree researching complex trauma and I have devoted myself, over the past ten years, to the evidence based practices of CBT and EMDR therapy. During this time I have gained a wealth of experience whilst working with some of the following organisations:
